I was just writing to Jeane earlier in the day that I really enjoyed making this contribution to Annika's artwork. I loooooove playing with materials unintended for artmaking, in this case, mahogany wood-veneer. I responded to her concept of ILLUSION by trying my best to "draw" wood. Real wood, really fake drawing of wood.... I liked the dry texture of Annika's work and architectural reference.... the next component of my entry is a collaged photogravure. Is it an image of Arial photography or are we looking at a patchwork quilt? Hmmmm....
